PeopleCert Scrum Product Owner I is designed for all professionals who wish to understand the Scrum Framework and the role of the Product Owner.
Design and Deliver awesome Products
Scrum is a lightweight framework that enables teams and organisations to design, develop, and deliver better products faster, while adapting to external changes.
Scrum originated in Software Development and IT, where it was used to deliver high quality and complex software products. Today, Scrum is adapted across multiple business functions (operations, security, marketing, sales, HR, etc.) making it an ideal enabler for agile transformation initiatives.
The Scrum Product Owner Role
Within a Scrum team, the Product Owner serves as the link between the Scrum Team and the Business or Customer, and his primary focus is to communicate the product vision and strategy while ensuring it remains aligned to business goals.
Based on Agile principles, it enables teams to self-organize by encouraging close collaboration between all team members and specialisms involved. Scrum challenges the assumptions of the sequential approach to product development and replaces it with an iterative process. It includes a set of meetings, tools, and roles that work in harmony to help teams structure and manage their work.
The goal of this approach is to timely capture changes in customers’ needs, along with any other unpredictable challenges that may occur — for which a sequential approach is not suited. As such, Scrum uses an evidence based framework that embraces the fact that problems cannot be fully defined upfront. Instead, it focuses on maximising the team’s ability to respond to emerging requirements, deliver value quickly, and adapt to new market conditions.
Why should you get PCSPO I certified?
Although Scrum is lightweight and easy to understand, it is very hard to master. Today, 81% of organisations use Scrum (66%) or a Scrum hybrid (15%) as they have embraced agility, but only 16% report that their agile maturity is above average. This creates an urgency for up- and re-skilling, to match the need.
Becoming a PCSPO I certified professional will help you prove your skills and stand out from the crowd.
